This guide explains how teams can win prize money in Power League. There are two main ways to earn money: by winning games during the regular season (the Round Robin) and by finishing in the Top 3 in the playoffs.
Power League splits the total prize pool into two equal halves:
There are 8 rounds in the season. In each round, every team plays one game. There are 20
teams, so that means 10 games per round and 10 winners per round. The Round Robin prize pool (50% of the total) is divided evenly between ALL wins across the entire season. So every single win is worth the same amount.
Example With a $50,000 Prize Pool
The other 50% of the prize pool goes to the Top 3 teams in the playoffs:
| Placing | Percent of Playoff Pool | Amount (Example with $25,000 Playoff Pool) |
|---|---|---|
| 1st Place | 60% | $15,000 |
| 2nd Place | 30% | $7,500 |
| 3rd Place | 10% | $2,500 |
Remember: this playoff money is on top of any Round Robin money the team has already earned.
Below is a clear example showing how the Top 3 playoff teams could earn BOTH playoff money and Round Robin money. This assumes the $50,000 total prize pool and $312.50 paid per win.
Example Wins for Top 3 Teams
Their Total Earnings Would Be:
| Team | Round Robin Wins | Round Robin Money | Playoff Money + Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1st Place Team | 6 wins | $1,875 | $15,000 + $1,875 = $16,875 |
| 2nd Place Team | 5 wins | $1,562.50 | $7,500 + $1,562.50 = $9,062.50 |
| 3rd Place Team | 3 wins | $937.50 | $2,500 + $937.50 = $3,437.50 |
This version is useful when the total prize pool has not been finalised yet.
| Total Prize Pool | Split 50% Round Robin, 50% Playoffs |
| Rounds | 8 |
| Teams | 20 (10 games per round) |
| Total Wins (Season) | 80 |
| Playoff Distribution | 1st: 60%, 2nd: 30%, 3rd: 10% |
Power League is excited to introduce a prize pool system that rewards teams for every win. Half of the total prize pool is paid out during the Round Robin season, where every game win earns money. The other half is reserved for the Top 3 teams in the playoffs, with 1st place receiving 60% of the playoff pool, 2nd place 30%, and 3rd place 10%. This means every game matters—teams can earn real money throughout the season, and those who make a deep playoff run can compete for the biggest rewards.
